Hi guys! Welcome or welcome back to my blog! One thing that has always been hard for me is finding good books to read. It’s not because there aren’t good ones out there, but merely because I don’t know where to start looking! Personally, my favorite book genres are fantasy and realistic fiction. These are two of the most common genres, meaning there are just so many to choose from! Btw, I am leaving all the links for all the books for you guys on Amazon in case you decide to check them out! Book Scavenger! The author of this book is by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman. There is 3 books to this series. But I have only read the first (I've read it 8 times!).This is a realistic fiction and it’s a-ma-zing! This book is about a girl named Emily. Her parents have a dream to move to all 50 states. The thing that keeps her going is Book Scavenger! Book Scavenger is a game where someone hides a book, posts a clue on the book scavenger website and someone has to solve your clue and find it! It’s full of adventure and mystery! I hope you will read it! The second book I am recommending is a series actually, it’s called the “Mr. Terupt Series”. This series is by Rob Buyea and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book! Once again it’s realistic fiction. This series is about a teacher named Mr. Terupt who to his students is the best teacher ever! I love how the characters in this book are relatable and funny! Harry Potter! This series is by J.K. Rowling. I personally love Harry Potter! In fact, I have read the entire series 3 times! As most of you know, Harry Potter is a fantasy book about a boy named Harry Potter who is a wizard. His parents were killed when he was a little baby and he was sent to stay with his Uncle and Aunt. His Uncle and Aunt aren't fond of Harry because they know his parents were witches and wizards. But, his Uncle and Aunt are muggles, muggles are what witches and wizards call people with no power aka normal humans. I Funny Series. This one is yet again a series, a realistic fiction series to be accurate. It was written by James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein. This book is absolutely hilarious, as you might have guessed from the title, I Funny! This book is about a kid named Jamie Grimm who is in a wheelchair (I won't tell you why, but they explain it around the middle of the book). While he was in the Children's Hospital, the doctors gave him a bunch of comedy books to read. They said comedy was the best medicine for pain. That's when Jamie found out how much he wanted to be a comedian. His Uncle tells him about a comedy contest he found out about in the newspaper, "Planets Funniest Kid" and persuades him into entering. You'll have to read it to figure out what happens!!! Fablehaven! Yet again, a series, I like series quite a bit if you caught on. 😋 Fablehaven is another fantasy book series and was written by Brandon Mull. It's about two siblings Seth and Kendra who go to visit their grandparents. All they see are normal creatures, like butterflies for example. But after drinking a type of special milk, they're able to see what those creatures really are! They then go on countless adventures, make new friends, and learn about the magic that surrounds them! The Land of Stories! This series was written by Chris Colfer. It's a fantasy series about two twins, Alex and Conner. Through strange powers of a book, they end up leaving their world and ending up in a whole new world, The Land of Stories. In this mysterious world, they encounter many fairy tales. Noelle At Sea, A Titanic Survival Story! This is a great Historical Fiction book written by Nikki Shannon Smith, about the RMS Titanic. I read this book when I was doing a school project and it turned out to be a really fun read! The book is about a girl named Noelle who is a 2nd class passenger on the Titanic. She becomes friends with a third class passenger. When the boat begins to sink, the 3rd class passengers aren't aloud to get off the boat. What happens to Noelle's friend? Rapunzel, The One With All The Hair! This book is a fantasy and is told in perspective. It’s written by Wendy Mass. I loved this book! It's a twist on the Disney animation, Rapunzel. The beginning is more or less the same. Starting with Rapunzel's perspective. Before Rapunzel was born, all her mother wanted to eat was Rampion. Which was a herb you could only find in the witches garden. Her father was able to get the herb successfully many times, but then was caught! They made a deal to give away Rapunzel in return they could take the Rampion. Because of that deal, Rapunzel was then rightfully taken from her parents and into the "care" of the witch at the age of 12. The second perspective was the prince's. Basically, he and another royal have to take "etiquette" classes. They learn things like how to nod their head, how to use a bow and arrow, etc. He then discovers Rapunzel, I won't tell you how. Deep and Dark and Dangerous. I'm trying to include varieties of books, so I thought I would include this one too. Deep and Dark and Dangerous is a Horror book written by Mary Downing Hahn, about three girls, Ali, Emma, and Sissy. Ali goes to visit her aunt and younger cousin, Emma up in Maine. They then meet a girl named Sissy. Sissy becomes Emma's best friend. But Ali thinks there is something strange about her. Percy Jackson! I LOVE THIS BOOK! Seriously, I only recently started reading it, but it is sooo good! I've only read book one and book two, but I already know it is my new favorite. 😊 Percy Jackson is a fantasy novel series about a boy named Percy Jackson who is a half-blood. A half-blood is a person who is half human-half god. Yes, the Greek Gods still exist 😁. Percy Jackson goes to boarding school and every year, he gets expelled at the end of the school year because of some trouble he got into that was seriously abnormal. I don't want to tell you too much about this book because I think one of the best components of this series is the suspense! I love books where you're trying to guess what's going to happen next and then all of a sudden the book hits you with a huge surprise! BONUS! I have one more book I want to recommend to you guys and it is, "Where The Sidewalk Ends" By: Shel Silverstein! This book is a poetry and is hands-down my favorite poetry book! I love Shel Silverstein's poems because they're so whimsical and fun! They're all funny poems that make me laugh no matter how many times I read them! I definitely recommend you check it out!
